Benha National University Council held its meeting today, chaired by Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, with the presence of Prof. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Karim El-Dash, Vice President for International Relations, Prof. Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, program directors, council members, the university's secretary general, and the assistant secretary.
Prof. Tamer Samir opened the session by congratulating the political leadership and the university staff on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the glorious October War victories, emphasizing that the victories of October War will remain a source of pride and dignity for all Egyptians and a symbol of honor for the national heroism written by our armed forces and the great Egyptian people in the epic of crossing and victory.
During the session, the university president reviewed the most important activities and events organized by the university in the past period, confirming that the university is keen to provide all means of comfort for its students.
The university council discussed several topics related to the educational and administrative process, including considering the inclusion of a voluntary service and community participation course among the university's compulsory curricula for the colleges’ academic regulations, as well as the scholarships offered by the university to distinguished and outstanding students in various fields.
The council also reviewed the signing of memoranda of understanding and cooperation protocols between the university and several international universities in the field of student exchange, training, college member exchange, participation in scientific research, and conducting joint scientific programs in various disciplines.
During the session, the council approved the formation of the Community Service and Environment Affairs Council at the university and the formation of a committee to set entrance exams for students applying for visual arts and design programs for the academic year 2024/2025.
The council also approved the proposed main structure for the digital transformation and smart governance plan to develop electronic services, within the framework of creating an automated response application for all inquiries from students and university staff.
