The Faculty of Computer Science at Benha National University organized a distinguished seminar titled “Tech-Wave,” under the patronage of Professor Tamer Samir, the university president. The seminar was attended by Professor Hussein El Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Professor Karim El Desh, Vice President for International Relations, and Professor Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, along with Professor Shady El Meshad, Dean of Computer Science College, Deans of Colleges, faculty members, and university students.
During his speech, Prof. Hussein El Maghraby emphasized the importance of technology as a tool for achieving development and innovation in academic and scientific fields, highlighting the necessity for students to be aware of the latest technological advancements through educational curricula and events that connect theory with practical application. He noted that the seminar represents a real opportunity to expand knowledge horizons and build a communication network between students, professors, and experts.
For his part, Prof. Karim El Desh pointed out that technology has become a key component in shaping our reality and crafting our future, urging students to acquire technical and personal skills that enhance their opportunities in the job market.
Prof. Mahmoud Shakl affirmed that technology opens new horizons for entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of technological solutions in developing products and services. He encouraged students to view technology as a platform for creativity and the creation of new opportunities.
Prof. Shady El Meshad indicated that the seminar aims to highlight the latest technological developments and how to leverage them to enhance students' capabilities and support innovation. He also announced the establishment of two communities within the university: GDG and ICPC, to encourage students to participate in research projects and local, regional, and international competitions.
The seminar featured fruitful discussions on the impact of technological advancements on academic fields, innovation, and entrepreneurship, as well as how to prepare students to tackle future technological challenges.
