The Board of Benha National University approved memorandums of understanding with international universities and local institutions and completed all preparations for the first semester exams

The Board of Benha National University held its meeting today, chaired by Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, with the presence of:

  • Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University,
  • Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs,
  • Karim El-Dash, Vice President for International Relations,
  • Mahmoud Shakl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship,
  • Deans of Colleges,
  • Members of the university council,
  • The university's secretary general,
  • The assistant secretary of the university.

Prof. Tamer Samir confirmed that the council approved considering the adoption of the organizational structure of Benha National University, in light of the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research approving the internal advisory regulations for National universities derived from government universities, along with completing the administrations, units, and subsidiary centers within the university.

The council discussed the university's preparations for the first semester exams for the academic year 2024/2025, which will commence at the end of December and continue until January 23 of the following year.

Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby pointed out that Deans of Colleges have been tasked with ensuring the completion of program controls and equipping them with the necessary devices, as well as confirming readiness for the upcoming exams according to quality standards. He emphasized the necessity of adhering to the examination performance regulations and taking all measures to ensure a suitable atmosphere for students within the examination halls and providing all means of comfort and support for them.

Prof. El-Maghraby reviewed the future plan for contracting College members and the supporting staff over the next three years, based on the needs prepared by the academic program directors at the university, as well as according to the number of students currently accepted into the programs. Additionally, he mentioned the formation of a medical committee at the university to address students with medical excuses, along with activating the academic advising process in the university programs and monitoring it by the Deans of Colleges, providing periodic reports about it and about struggling students and how to deal with them.

Prof. Karim El-Dash also reviewed the inventory of international agreements that have been signed and are in the process of being implemented until mid this month, which number 14 agreements with universities from several countries such as China, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Russia. This aims to enhance the role of Benha National University in international cooperation with universities and institutions outside the framework of Egyptian universities, thereby raising the level of experiences and skills for the university's students as well as its College members.

Prof. Mahmoud Shakl reviewed the approval of the organizational rules and internal regulations for several centers and units within the university, namely:

  • The Integrated Medical Training Unit,
  • The Continuing Education Center,
  • The University Center for Professional Development,
  • And the Community and Environmental Activities and Services Center at the university.

He also reviewed proposed cooperation agreements between Benha National University and several institutions, including the Kalyobiya Directorate of Education, the Arab African Center for Science and Specialized Studies, and the Egyptian Banking Institute.
