Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha University, received a delegation from the Association of Egyptian Scholars in America and Canada, including Prof. Mohamed Atta Allah, Vice President of the City University of New York and President of the Association, and Prof. Said Issa, Professor at Toronto Metropolitan University. The meeting aimed to explore avenues for cooperation in various educational and research fields, reflecting the university's commitment to enhancing international collaboration and benefiting from the expertise of Egyptian scholars abroad.
The meeting was attended by :
- Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs,
- Karim Al-Dash, Vice President for International Relations, and
- Several Deans at the university.
Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized the university's dedication to strengthening international partnerships to improve the quality of education and scientific research. He praised the university's strategic plan for international relations and its role in exploring collaboration opportunities with the Association of Egyptian Scholars in America and Canada in areas such as student exchange, experience sharing, scientific research, training, and joint programs.
Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby highlighted the university's efforts to enhance its international partnerships in various fields, particularly student exchange and joint programs, which help students gain a distinguished and diverse educational experience. He pointed out the importance of academic cooperation between the university and various global entities, especially in light of contemporary global challenges, whether environmental, health-related, or others, which necessitate academic and research collaboration among universities worldwide as a powerful tool to address these complex issues.
Prof. Karim Al-Dash mentioned the formation of a committee of international experts at the university to leverage their expertise to enhance the university's efficiency and elevate its standards in various educational and research fields. He added that through collaboration with various international entities and global universities, the university aims to empower researchers to secure funding opportunities and technical expertise, enhancing their capacity to conduct innovative research, alongside helping students gain diverse educational experiences.
Prof. Mohamed Atta Allah, Vice President of New York University and President of the Association of Egyptian Scholars in America and Canada, expressed his admiration for the advanced academic programs offered by Benha University, affirming the association's eagerness to collaborate with the university.
