Benha National University launched its Innovation Week celebrations, organized to honor creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship. The event was held under the patronage and attendance of Prof. Tamer Samir, University President; Prof. Mahmoud Shakal, Vice President for Employment, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship; Prof. Mahmoud Saqr, University Advisor for Research and Innovation; Prof. Shady Y. El-Mashad, Dean of Computer Science College; and Mr. Ayman Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University.
The event witnessed the attendance of elite faculty members alongside representatives from institutions and companies, including:
- Ahmed El-Sheriffrom the Leaders Foundation for Management Sciences and Development
- Medhat El-Sheikh Mostafa Abukhersfrom the Arab Organization for Industrialization’s Aircraft Factory
- Major General Prof. Eng. Hatem El-Shahat, representing the Arab Organization for Industrialization
- Haitham Husseinrepresenting Egypt Workers Complex
- Marwa Sabryfrom the Fund for Drug Control, Treatment, and Addiction Prevention
- Delegations from Fresh Company led by Bahaaand Arab Contractors Company led by Eng. Moshira Sayed Mahmoud
Also present were MP Amira El-Adly, MP Mohamed Abdelaziz, a delegation from the Youth Parties and Politicians Coordination Committee, Prof. Marionette Naseef from the Animal Health Research Institute, representatives from obour Land Company, and a delegation from the Innovators and Prodigies Care Fund at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized the university’s mission to support students in transforming their ideas into innovative projects that serve society and the nation, stating that “creativity has become a lifestyle, and innovation is a tool for change and building the future.”
Prof. Mahmoud Shakal highlighted the importance of nurturing minds, unleashing potential, and connecting the university to society to create a generation capable of competing locally, regionally, and globally.
Prof. Shady Y. El-Mashad noted that the university’s students possess the ability to blend science and technology to deliver innovative solutions for future challenges, emphasizing the college’s focus on qualifying talented students in AI and digital transformation to meet labor market demands.
The Inoventre Gateway platform was launched as a bridge connecting creative ideas to promising opportunities, accompanied by an introductory video about its services. Prof. Elham Shokra and MP Amira El-Adly delivered speeches encouraging students and innovation, followed by presentations from the Engineering and Computer Science faculties on key university innovation activities.
The event also featured inspiring student success stories, including a presentation by student Kerolos Hany from the ENACTUS team, entrepreneurship club projects, and a motivational segment from the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Club.
