Benha National University hosted the closing events of the training camp for the INNOVENTURE 2026 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum, in collaboration with the Innovators and Talents Care Fund, the strategic partner, and the Leadership Preparation Institute in Helwan.
The events were held under the auspices and attendance of :
- Gamal El-Saeed, the chairman of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University,
- Soheir Sharawy, the vice chair of the Board of Trustees,
- Tamer Samir, the university president,
- Mahmoud Shakl, the vice president for employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship,
- Deans of the university's academic Colleges.
The closing ceremony was also attended by :
- Montaser Dweidar, the president of Samannoud Technological University,
- several leaders from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research,
- Karim Hammam, the advisor to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for student activities and the director of the Leadership Preparation Institute in Helwan,
- Joudah Ghanem, the head of the education and students sector at the ministry,
- Tamer Hamouda, the executive director of the Innovators and Talents Care Fund,
- Wiam Mahmoud, the executive director of the institutional innovation unit at the ministry,
- academic and executive leaders, industry professionals, investors, and experts in the industry and entrepreneurship.
This gathering aimed to support the innovation ecosystem and transform creative ideas into economically viable projects.
The training camp took place from February 1 to 5, 2026, on the premises of Benha National University, alongside the INNOVENTURE 2026 University Innovation Forum, as part of the strategic partnership between the university and the Innovators and Talents Care Fund. The goal was to spread the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, develop the skills of students and entrepreneurs, and turn innovative ideas into executable projects.
The closing event featured the distribution of incubation awards totaling 2 million Egyptian pounds, provided by the Innovators and Talents Care Fund, which were awarded to four outstanding projects with economic significance and clear developmental impact, after passing through evaluation and judging stages by specialized committees.
The university confirmed that the training camp focused on developing innovation and entrepreneurship skills through specialized training programs, practical workshops, and guidance sessions, involving a selection of experts and specialists, contributing to preparing a generation of entrepreneurs capable of competing in the labor market.
During the event, it was announced that the industrial networking phase for the winning projects with industry professionals and investors would commence, activating the role of incubators and business accelerators, supporting technology transfer, and linking research outputs with market needs, thereby enhancing the role of Benha National University as a key driver of innovation and sustainable development.
