Prof. Tamer Samir, the president of Benha National University, met Major General Engineer Khaled Madi, the chairman of the Nile Valley Construction Company, in the presence of :
- Hussein El-Maghraby, the vice president for academic affairs,
- Mahmoud Shakl, the vice president for employment, innovation, and entrepreneurship,
- Deans of the university's Colleges,
- Ayman Bayoumi, the university's secretary general,
- The accompanying delegation from the Nile Valley Company.
The meeting aimed to review the final implementation status of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system project at the university and discuss updates on several strategic plans and partnerships, including the development of the new medical center and the establishment of a new hospital in collaboration with Benha University(governmental), which contributes to accelerating the pace of digital transformation, achieving institutional integration, and enhancing the quality of services provided.
Prof. Tamer Samir emphasized the political leadership's commitment to supporting the system of National universities as a national strategic project in higher education. He also highlighted Benha National University's ongoing efforts to continuously develop and keep pace with the latest technological systems, particularly the implementation of the ERP system, due to its importance in enhancing the efficiency of administrative and academic performance, achieving integration among various university sectors, and supporting the digital transformation system in collaboration with Nile Valley Company as the executing company for the project.
He pointed out the importance of utilizing the system to improve the quality of educational and administrative services provided to students and Colleges members, and to support decision-makers by providing accurate data and comprehensive reports, in addition to achieving optimal resource utilization, raising institutional efficiency, and ensuring operational sustainability.
Major General Khaled Madi confirmed that the implementation of the ERP system project is one of the key pillars supporting the system of National universities, serving as a strategic tool to achieve corporate governance and enhance resource management efficiency, which directly reflects on the quality of educational and administrative services provided.
He noted that the implementation of the system contributes to unifying databases, enhancing integration among different sectors, and supporting decision-making through accurate and updated information systems, in line with the institutional development requirements for private universities as a national project in higher education.
He explained that Nile Valley Company is working on implementing the ERP project according to the highest technological standards, ensuring full operational readiness and system sustainability, confirming the company's commitment to partnering with Benha National University to support the digital transformation journey and provide integrated technical solutions that contribute to building a modern university model based on smart management and digital integration.
Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby presented the university's academic vision and development plans, along with a comprehensive overview of the university's Colleges, academic programs, and statistics on students and Colleges members. He emphasized that the implementation of the ERP system represents a fundamental pillar in developing the academic and administrative system, enhancing the efficiency of educational resource management, and achieving institutional discipline, thereby supporting the quality of the educational process and aligning with global standards.
Prof. Shady Y. El-Mashad, the advisor to the university president for digital transformation and smart governance and Dean of computer science College, also highlighted the importance of digital transformation in developing the university education system. He presented a presentation discussing the mechanisms of the ERP system and its role in accelerating performance, improving service quality, achieving optimal resource utilization, and reducing operational costs through smart management, as well as enhancing security and transparency thanks to integrated digital systems, and raising the level of satisfaction among beneficiaries by providing an advanced digital experience, contributing to improving operational management within the university and achieving integration among various departments.
Prof. Tamer Samir, president of Benha National University, accompanied Major General Khaled Madi and the accompanying delegation on a tour of the university, during which they expressed their admiration for the noticeable development in the educational and technological infrastructure of the university, praising the level of progress and excellence achieved by Benha National University.
