Benha National University and the Egyptian Authority for Intellectual Property Sign Cooperation Agreement to Promote Innovation and Technology Transfer

Benha National University has entered into a cooperation agreement with the Egyptian Authority for Intellectual Property, marked by the signing of a joint protocol by Dr. Hisham Azmy, Chairman of the Authority, and Dr. Tamer Samir, President of the University. The agreement is designed to foster innovation, support technology transfer, and enhance the practical impact of research outcomes in ways that contribute to economic development and the growth of a knowledge-based economy.

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the role of intellectual property in driving innovation and enabling closer links between academic research and industry priorities. It also supports broader efforts to maximize the societal and economic value of research and innovation activities.

The agreement aligns with the objectives of the National Intellectual Property Strategy (2022–2027), launched under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which aims to further develop Egypt’s intellectual property framework and position it as a key enabler of sustainable development in accordance with Egypt Vision 2030.
