Benha National University President Hosts Papal Representative of Obour in Mark of Eid Al-Fitr

Dr. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, hosted Father Raphael Anba Bishoy, Papal Representative for Obour and New Obour City, accompanied by Father Youssef Sidhom Attia, Priest of Saint Paul the Apostle Church in Obour, during a courtesy visit marking Eid Al-Fitr.

The engagement was attended by senior university leadership, including Dr. Ayman Samir, Dr. Mohamed Mostafa, Dr. Asmaa Mahmoud, Dr. Iman Abdel Ghaffar, and Mr. Ayman Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University.

Dr. Tamer Samir underscored the importance of such engagements in advancing the principles of national unity, social cohesion, and mutual respect, noting that the exchange of greetings on religious occasions reflects the depth and resilience of Egypt’s social fabric.

He further highlighted Egypt’s enduring model of coexistence and interfaith harmony, emphasizing that shared values and collective responsibility remain central to sustaining stability and driving continued development.

The University President also reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to fostering a culture of citizenship, inclusivity, and respect for diversity, as an integral component of its mission to prepare graduates who are both socially responsible and globally aware.

Father Raphael Anba Bishoy conveyed his congratulations to the University’s leadership and community, noting that such engagements reinforce the spirit of goodwill and contribute to strengthening societal cohesion.
