Benha National University Announces International Summer Training Programme in China for Students of Medicine and Physical Therapy

Benha National University has announced the opening of applications for participation in an international summer training programme hosted by Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in the People’s Republic of China, available to students from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Physical Therapy.

The programme is offered within the framework of the growing academic partnership between the two universities and reflects the continued progress of their international cooperation. Recent milestones in this collaboration have included the signing of a cooperation agreement and the hosting of a Chinese delegation as part of joint training activities, further strengthening opportunities for student mobility and cultural exchange.

 

Programme Details

  • Programme duration: Two weeks, from 4 to 18 August 2026
  • Host institution: Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, China
  • Application deadline: 14 April 2026

 

The programme is designed to enhance students’ clinical competencies in areas including internal medicine, emergency care, and physical therapy, while also introducing them to selected applications of Traditional Chinese Medicine, such as acupuncture, cupping therapy, medicinal herbs, and physical rehabilitation.

In addition to its academic and clinical components, the programme also offers opportunities for cultural exchange through field visits and a range of student and cultural activities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be currently enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine or the Faculty of Physical Therapy at Benha National University
  • Hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, with priority given to students with higher academic standing
  • Demonstrate a level of English proficiency sufficient for academic communication
  • Commit to full participation in all scientific and cultural activities
  • Adhere to standards of conduct, discipline, and appropriate representation of the University
  • Submit parental/guardian consent, in addition to military service documentation for male students
  • Fulfil all travel requirements, including a valid passport, visa, and health insurance
  • Pay the applicable fees as determined by the University Council

Required Documents

Applicants are required to submit the following:

  • Application form issued by the International Relations Office
  • A copy of a valid passport, or proof that a passport is currently being issued
  • A recent official enrollment certificate / student status statement indicating the cumulative GPA
  • A copy of the National ID card
  • Parent or guardian consent letter
  • Military service certificate for male students
  • Any available English language certificates, if applicable

Applications and supporting documents should be submitted either electronically or in person to the International Relations Office at the University.
