Benha National University has taken a significant step toward deepening its engagement with industry by formalizing a series of strategic partnerships with a specialized telecommunications company and several leading manufacturers operating in the engineering, electrical, petroleum, and mining sectors.
The agreements were concluded under the patronage of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and signed by Prof. Mahmoud Shekl, Vice President for Employment, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The signing was attended by Eng. Amr Ammar, Chairman of the partner company, together with Prof. Mahmoud El-Refaie, Director of Programs, Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Mohamed Mostafa, Director of Programs, Faculty of Energy Sciences.
These new partnerships reflect the University’s strategic approach to building meaningful connections with the technology and industrial sectors in order to enrich students’ practical training, broaden employment pathways, and promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. By working closely with industry, the University seeks to equip students and graduates with the advanced competencies required in an increasingly dynamic labor market.
Discussions during the meeting focused on translating these partnerships into structured training programs delivered in collaboration with the University, ensuring that academic learning is reinforced through practical experience and direct exposure to professional environments.
The agreements also extend the University’s industrial network through collaborations with major factories in El Obour City. These partnerships will provide students with field-based training and create both internship and employment opportunities in sectors including household appliances, electrical equipment, petroleum and mining industries, measuring technologies, and lifting systems.
Benha National University affirmed that these agreements form part of its broader institutional strategy to align academic programs with labor market priorities and strengthen graduate employability. Through sustained collaboration with industry and technology partners, the University continues to prepare highly qualified professionals capable of competing effectively at both the national and international levels.
