Benha National University Council Reviews Student Activities and Progress in Implementing Egypt’s National Artificial Intelligence Strategy

The Benha National University Council convened under the chairmanship of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, with the participation of Prof. Nasser El Gizawy, President of Benha University; Prof. Hussein El Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Mahmoud Shakal, Vice President for Employment, Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Directors of Programs; members of the University Council; and Mr. Ayman Bayoumi, Secretary General of the University.
Prof. Tamer Samir congratulated the University community on Benha National University's debut in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026, noting that this achievement reflects the University's sustained commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening excellence across education, research, and community engagement. 
The President also expressed his appreciation to the University's academic and administrative leadership for their outstanding efforts throughout the second academic semester, recognizing their contribution to the University's continued progress and achievements across a range of institutional priorities.
the Council reviewed and approved Benha National University's visual identity guidelines, examined the proposed agreements submitted by Bedaya Company for the marketing of services provided by Benha University and Benha National University, approved the regulations governing pre-employment medical examinations for newly appointed staff members, and reviewed a progress report on the University's roadmap toward obtaining ISO certification.
Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby presented updates on the implementation of the cooperation agreement between Benha National University and Nanjing University, including the commencement of procedures for establishing joint academic degrees between the two institutions. He also reviewed the equivalency of the bachelor's degree offered by the Faculty of Economics and Business, the proposed amendments to the internal regulations governing the Computer Science and Physical Therapy programs, reports on student activities, and the University's achievements in implementing Egypt's National Artificial Intelligence Strategy. 
Prof. Mahmoud Shakal reviewed recently signed cooperation agreements between the University and a number of institutions and specialized centers. He also presented a proposal to launch the Digital Egypt Youth initiative and reviewed the University's Employability Skills Training Program, which will be delivered through the University's Career Development Center.
