Benha National University and National Telecommunication Institute Sign Agreement to Provide Specialized Training for Students

Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and Prof. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing the digital capabilities of the University's students and graduates and expanding cooperation in training.

The agreement was signed at the National Telecommunication Institute's headquarters in Nasr City, in the presence of Prof. Eman Abdel Ghaffar, Acting Director of Programs at the Faculty of Computer Science, along with a number of academic and administrative leaders from both institutions.

Prof. Tamer Samir noted that the agreement reflects Benha National University's commitment to strengthening partnerships with leading national institutions and creating closer links between academic study and practical training. He emphasized that this approach supports the University's efforts to prepare graduates with the technical skills required by the labor market.

He added that the National Telecommunication Institute, as the training arm of Egypt's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, brings extensive expertise in delivering specialized training programs aligned with technological advances and capable of enhancing the readiness of students and graduates to compete at the local, regional, and international levels.

Prof. Tamer Samir further noted that the partnership marks another step toward strengthening the integration of academic education and practical training. It also supports the University's efforts to prepare highly skilled professionals capable of leading digital transformation and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.

Prof. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), stated that the agreement builds on the Institute's approach to establishing effective institutional partnerships with Egyptian universities. He noted that such partnerships enable both institutions to draw on their respective expertise and capabilities while translating academic knowledge into practical applications that support innovation and creativity.

He added that the partnership with Benha National University brings education and professional training closer together while ensuring that students remain connected to the rapid developments taking place across the communications and information technology sector. Through specialized programs and joint research and academic activities, the partnership will help ensure that academic training remains responsive to future needs.

The agreement provides for specialized training programs for Benha National University students and graduates, designed around the needs of the University's faculties and academic programs. It also covers academic supervision of graduation projects, joint research, and the organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops. Together, these activities will strengthen research and innovation and help develop the digital talent needed to advance Egypt's digital transformation and the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.
