Qalyubia Governor and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Attend Benha National University's First Graduation Ceremony

Benha National University celebrated a defining milestone in its history with the graduation of its first cohort during a ceremony attended by Eng. Hossam Abdel Fattah, Governor of Qalyubia, and Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees.

 Eng. Hossam Abdel Fattah described the graduation of Benha National University's first cohort as the culmination of years of strategic planning, sustained investment, and a shared commitment to developing human capital. He noted that the achievement reflects the success of Egypt's national vision, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to expand the network of national universities and provide a modern university education that responds to the evolving needs of the labour market.

The Governor expressed his appreciation to Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Tamer Samir, President of the University, faculty members, and administrative staff for their dedication to establishing a distinguished academic institution. He emphasized that Benha National University builds upon the longstanding academic legacy of Benha University, benefiting from its scholarly expertise and distinguished faculty while delivering a contemporary educational model that combines academic excellence with innovation and prepares graduates to compete successfully at both the national and international levels.

The Governor congratulated the graduates and their families, encouraging the University's first alumni to continue striving for excellence, pursuing innovation, and contributing to the development of their country. He also reaffirmed the Governorate's continued support for higher education and scientific research as fundamental pillars of human development and sustainable national progress.

In his remarks, Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, described the occasion as a defining moment in the University's journey. He noted that Benha National University was established to deliver a modern, future-oriented model of higher education that aligns with international standards and responds to the evolving needs of the labour market through innovative academic programmes and an integrated learning environment. He added that the University's mission extends beyond education to supporting sustainable development by preparing graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and mindset required to excel in an increasingly competitive global landscape, in line with Egypt Vision 2030.

Prof. El-Saeed highlighted the University's rapid progress in establishing a modern academic ecosystem and developing programmes closely aligned with labour market needs, enabling graduates to acquire the competencies, practical experience, and professional skills required to excel across diverse fields.

He added that the graduation of the University's first cohort represents the realization of the strategic vision that has guided Benha National University since its establishment—a vision founded on preparing graduates who combine academic excellence with creativity, innovation, and lifelong learning. Expressing his confidence in the graduates' future success, he said they are well prepared to make meaningful contributions to their professions, support Egypt's development priorities, and serve their communities with distinction.

For his part, Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, expressed his pride in celebrating the graduation of the University's first cohort, describing the occasion as the beginning of a new chapter in Benha National University's history and the realization of a vision the University has pursued since its establishment. He noted that the graduating class had accompanied the University's journey from its earliest days and played a meaningful role in shaping its identity and culture.

Addressing the graduates, Prof. Samir encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, remain committed to continuous learning, and embrace innovation throughout their careers. He emphasized that, from its inception, the University has been dedicated to providing a dynamic learning environment that integrates academic excellence with practical experience while fostering scientific research, entrepreneurship, and a culture of innovation.

The President also expressed his sincere appreciation to the graduates' families, recognizing their unwavering support and the sacrifices they had made throughout their children's academic journey. He noted that the graduates' success is a reflection of their families' encouragement and dedication, reaffirming the University's belief in the importance of strong partnerships with industry and business to deliver practice-oriented education that meets the evolving demands of the labour market.

Prof. Samir further affirmed that Benha National University remains committed to continuously advancing its academic programmes and expanding partnerships with leading international universities and institutions to prepare future generations capable of driving sustainable development and contributing to the goals of Egypt's New Republic.

Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, stated that the graduation of the University's first cohort from six academic programmes across three faculties reflects Benha National University's success in preparing highly qualified graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to meet the demands of local, regional, and international labour markets.

He explained that the graduating class includes the first graduates of the Mechatronics and Automation Engineering and Communication Systems Engineering programmes within the Faculty of Engineering; the Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Software Development and Applications programmes within the Faculty of Computer Science; and the Accounting and Business Informatics and Digital Marketing and E-Business programmes within the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.

Prof. El-Maghraby emphasized that graduation marks not the end of the students' academic journey, but the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities and responsibilities that calls for continued learning, professional growth, and innovation. He added that the University's graduates have consistently demonstrated dedication, perseverance, and excellence throughout their years of study, expressing his confidence that they will serve as distinguished ambassadors for Benha National University wherever their careers may lead.

The ceremony concluded with the recognition of the graduates and commemorative photographs shared with their families in an atmosphere of pride and celebration. Marking the beginning of a new chapter in the graduates' professional journeys, the occasion also reaffirmed Benha National University's growing position as one of Egypt's leading modern institutions of higher education.
