Benha National University Concludes the 54th Military Education Course and 9th National Education Course

Benha National University has concluded the 54th Military Education Course, attended by 156 male students, and the 9th National Education Course, attended by 119 female students from across the University’s faculties. The two courses were held under the auspices of Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, and Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, in cooperation with the Popular and Military Defense Forces.

The two courses form part of Benha National University’s efforts to strengthen national awareness among its students and foster values of discipline, commitment, and responsibility as essential components of student development and holistic character building.

Prof. Tamer Samir, President of Benha National University, emphasised the importance the University attaches to its military and national education programmes, highlighting their role in raising young people’s awareness of national issues, strengthening their sense of belonging and responsibility, and developing their personal and leadership skills.

Prof. Hussein El-Maghraby, Vice President for Academic Affairs, underscored the importance of military and national education programmes as an integral part of student development. He noted that these programmes contribute to strengthening discipline, awareness, and responsibility, while providing students with skills and experience that support their personal development and prepare them to make a positive contribution to society.

The two courses included a series of awareness-raising and educational lectures addressing national security, national identity, and the risks associated with fourth-generation warfare, alongside practical training aimed at improving physical fitness and developing discipline, endurance, and teamwork.

Students participating in the two courses expressed their appreciation for the educational and training programmes, noting their contribution to deepening their awareness of national issues, developing their personal skills, and reinforcing values of belonging and responsibility.

Benha National University reaffirms its continued commitment to supporting military and national education programmes in cooperation with the Popular and Military Defense Forces, recognising their importance in preparing well-rounded graduates who combine academic excellence with national awareness and strong personal skills, and are equipped to contribute positively to the service of society and the nation.
