Prof. Gamal El-Saeed, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Benha National University, on behalf of the Board, has extended his sincere congratulations to Prof. Mahmoud Mohieldin, a member of the University’s Board of Trustees, on his election as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Arab Economic Research Association for the term running from October 2026 to October 2030.
Prof. El Saeed expressed his great pride in this well-deserved appointment, which reflects the distinguished academic and economic standing of Prof. Mohieldin and recognises his long record of service and achievement. He also highlighted Prof. Mohieldin’s significant contributions to economic thought and the development of sustainable development visions, his influential presence at regional and international economic forums, and his role in supporting economic dialogue and strengthening Arab cooperation in scientific research and development.
The Chair of BNU’s Board of Trustees affirmed that Prof. Mohieldin’s assumption of the Association’s presidency represents a valuable contribution to Arab economic affairs. It also reflects confidence in his extensive expertise, strategic vision and ability to strengthen the Association’s role in advancing economic research, keeping pace with global economic transformations, and developing innovative, evidence-based perspectives to help address the development challenges facing Arab countries.
