General Rules and Policies for Admission of New Students
- Students obtaining an Egyptian General Secondary Certificate or its equivalent from Arab and foreign certificates, Nile Secondary School, and STEM Schools are allowed to enrol, in accordance with the regulations, rules, and minimum thresholds set by the Council of National Universities. All admission conditions must be met, and necessary tests announced annually (if any) must be passed as determined by the University Council and the Council of National Universities.
- Students are accepted and enrolled only at the beginning of the main semesters (fall and spring).
- The study at the university is conducted in English and follows the credit hour system.
- The academic year is divided into two main semesters (fall and spring) in addition to a summer semester, according to the regulations.
- At the end of the application period for enrolment in the university's Colleges, according to the announced dates, an internal coordination process is conducted for applicants, ranking them according to the applicable conditions and rules.
- Lists of eligible students for admission to each College/program are prepared for each certificate separately, and students are ranked for each certificate based on their total scores in descending order (from highest to lowest).
- The prescribed fee for the university application form is (1500) Egyptian pounds and is non-refundable.
- Early applications will be opened according to the established rules and scheduled dates for the following students:
- Equivalency Certificates: Arab and foreign equivalency certificates from within and outside Egypt.
- Old General Secondary Certificate: One previous year equivalent (if the minimum acceptance threshold for the College was met in the previous year or based on the ratios determined by the Council of National Universities).
- Modern General Secondary Certificate: Students holding the modern secondary certificate will be accepted according to the minimum sector rules or as determined by the university based on the numbers approved by the Academic Council and the University Council.
- Students applying for enrolment in the university will be prioritized based on the following criteria:
- Highest total score.
- Payment of fees.
- Order of application submission (in case of ties in the above criteria).
- Submission of all required documents for enrolment at the university.
The application is done through the university's electronic admission system as follows:
- Account Creation: Access the admission website and create a student account by filling in all required personal information.
- Email Confirmation: The student will receive a message at the registered email address and must follow the instructions provided to complete the account creation and activation.
- Submission of Application: The student submits an application for enrollment and fills in the required information, including personal details, educational qualifications, and the desired faculty.
- Document Upload: All required documents must be uploaded, including:
- Birth certificate
- National ID card for the student and guardian
- Copy of the educational qualification
- Specific documents for each educational qualification
- Notification of Coordination Results: The student will be notified of the coordination results via their registration account (a notification will also be sent to the student's email).
- Document Submission: The student must visit the university campus in Al-Obour within 48 hours of receiving the notification to submit the following documents:

- Original recent three-part birth certificate.
- Original educational qualification and all related documents for each qualification.
- Copy of the national ID card for the student and guardian.
- Military service status.
- Proof of payment for the university application form fee.
Non-Attendance Consequence: If the student does not attend on the specified date, the notification will be considered void, and the next student in line will be accepted.
- Document Verification: After verifying the original documents and confirming their validity, if approved, the final acceptance will be sent to the student's account on the university's registration system (a notification will also be sent to the student's email).
- Payment of Fees: The student must pay the fees according to the information provided.
Further Application Stages: Additional stages of electronic application will be opened based on available places in each College. Acceptance will be based on total scores and the order of application submission.
Direct Admission: If the number of students does not reach the minimum announced by the Ministry, direct admission will be opened for available places based on the order of application submission and payment of fees, following the approval of the University Council.
